Jeep was the ubiquitous utility vehicle of the Second World War which gave rise to an entirely new class of consumer vehicles after 1945. The Jeep was used in every theater of the war and by each of the Allied countries.

Now The National World War II Museum in New Orleans has partnered with Bergeron Auto and Operation Homefront Louisiana in a three-month promotion to benefit Louisiana's current service members, wounded warriors, and their families who reside in the state.

From September 17 through December 17, The National WWII Museum will donate two general admission tickets to everyone test-driving a Bergeron Jeep vehicle, and Bergeron Auto will make a cash donation to Operation Homefront Louisiana with every Jeep sold during the period. Each weekend, the Museum also will welcome twenty service members to enjoy dinner and the signature musical show at the Stage Door Canteen, coordinated through Operation Homefront and underwritten by Bergeron Auto. The promotion will be launched Saturday, September 17 at The National WWII Museum. The public is invited to view a WWII Willys Jeep displayed alongside contemporary Jeep vehicles. The Museum's Living History Corps of World War II re-enactors will be on hand to share their wealth of information about the day-to-day lives of military men and women and the broader lessons of World War II. A presentation will be held in December to present the total donation from Bergeron Auto to Operation Homefront Louisiana.
