On
October 15, 2011 from 11:00am until 3:00pm, the Museum will have on
display a WWII Willys Jeep alongside 70th anniversary commemorative
Jeeps from Bergeron Auto. The Museum's Living History Corps of WWII
re-enactors will be on hand to share their wealth of information about
the day-to-day lives of military men and women and the broader lessons
of WWII. Promotion Details Seventy years ago, the U.S. Army signed the first contract for what would become the universal symbol of the American military - the Jeep®. By the end of WWII, the "Arsenal of Democracy" would produce almost 650,000 Jeep vehicles, or one for every 23 Americans in the war!
Now, The National WWII Museum has partnered with Bergeron Auto - a Greater New Orleans Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Jeep Dealer - and Operation Homefront Louisiana in a three-month promotion to benefit Louisiana's current service members, wounded warriors and their families who reside in the state.
For a limited time, Bergeron Auto is generously underwriting a night out at The Stage Door Canteen for service members and their families including dinner and a signature musical. Tickets are coordinated through Operation Homefront and pre-registration is required.
Now through December 17, 2011, stop by Bergeron Auto at 3525 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie to test drive any Jeep vehicle and receive a voucher for two free general admission tickets to The National WWII Museum.
Plus, Bergeron Auto will make a $50 cash donation in your name (or in honor of a service member or veteran) to Operation Homefront Louisiana with every Jeep sold through December 17, 2011!
